Partly Cloudy conditions across the state as the bay turns into action mode

There is no significant change expected across TN in the next 24 hours as a result of a high pressure area occupying the peninsula.

Under the influence of a trough in the South East Arabian Sea, Southern parts of Kerala might witness some on and off rainfall activity in the next 48 hours. Numerical models indicate that the Low pressure area in South East Bay of Bengal will continue to develop over the next 3-4 days and move in westerly direction bringing rains across South Coastal TN and Sri Lanka early next week.

Chennai – Day time high will be around 33 degrees with clouds clearing after evening. Possibility of mist in some areas. Night time low of around 23 degrees.

Coimbatore – Above average maximum temperature of 34 degrees along with some cloud cover and a night time minimum of 22 degrees.

Madurai – Partly cloudy sky with maximum of 34 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees.

Trichy – 34 degrees daytime maximum with clouds and sun and a minimum of around 24 degrees.

Vellore – Warm day with partly cloudy conditions of around 34 degrees max followed by pleasant drop in the heat as the day ends with low touching around 21 degrees.
