Peak summer conditions continue to hog the limelight

Peak summer conditions continue to hold the upper hand and hog the limelight with soaring temperatures all over the state.
Predominant Northwesterly winds seen strengthened over coastal regions of TN over the past few days. This is in response to the monsoon surge over south-s.eastern parts of bay and is having a greater influence on temperature by delaying the sea breeze factor over coastal districts of TN.
However there is a good probability of thundershowers in few regions of interiors like Salem, Tiruvannamalali, Perambalur, Theni, Madurai, Krishnagiri and adjoining regions.
