Rise in day time temperatures over South/North interiors and west TN on the cards

The trough of low at mean sea level over south Andaman sea and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean is seen persisting there. The synoptic situation as an upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka coast extending upto 0.9 km above mean sea level persists. Under the aforementioned conditions, few scattered showers are possible over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Southern peninsula to see stale, warm and dry conditions in the days to come.  A possibility of the mercury shooting up in the interiors, west TN remains strong.

City Forecast:

Chennai – A calm and slightly warm  day in the offing with a high of 31 degrees c and a low of 22 degrees C.

Coimbatore – An easy morning giving way to cloudless skies over the region. Day time mercury levels should test 33 degrees C and turning cooler with a low of 21 degrees C.

Madurai – A gradual increase in day time max temps over the region on the cards. A high of 34 degrees is a fair possibility. Nights  remaining pleasant with a low of 21 degrees C.

Trichy – Clear skies over the region. A max of 32 degrees and a minimum of 21 degrees expected over the area.

Vellore – Max day time mercury levels on the way up with an high of 33 degrees C and nights staying cool with a low of 19 degrees C.
