The low-pressure area, which intensified into a Depression and moved northeastward under the influence of a westerly trough, is now weakening. As the westerly trough’s impact diminishes, the system is expected to drift back towards the Tamil Nadu coast as a weakened trough by today.

Rainfall Outlook:

South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu, including KTCC (Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Chennai, and Chengalpattu) districts, are likely to receive moderate rainfall from the night of December 25th through December 27th.
