Scorcher of a Monday expected over larger areas of Tamil Nadu

Chennai City and Airport has recorded 2 degrees above normal max day time high and the trend is almost uniform across interior and coastal districts of Tamil Nadu. The same scenario is seen at hill stations too with hardly a drop of rain falling in and around Nilgiris in the past few months resulting in forest fires and animals coming out of their habitat in search of water.
The trend of hot days is set to continue in entire Tamil Nadu with no sign of rains in next 3-4 days. However, Kerala will continue to get isolated convective thundershowers.
