Tamil Nadu To Sizzle Under The Sun

Large parts of Tamil Nadu are likely to reel under the sun, with temperatures inching close to 40 C at a few places. Interior Tamil Nadu in particular is likely to face the blitz with the temperatures soaring up to 38-39 C. Possibility of an odd shower near the Ghat areas. The neighboring states of Kerala and Karnataka could see isolated thundershowers, especially along the Western Ghats.
Up North, larger areas of AP, Telangana, MP, Odisha, Maharashtra, UP and Chhattisgarh to brace unforgiving hot and oppressive conditions. Isolated, convective thundershowers are likely in parts of Telangana, AP, Chhattisgarh and Odisha which could bring with them strong winds and hail, among heavy rain and lightning.
Under the influence of a western disturbance, precipitation in the form of rain as well as snow is likely in the northern states of J & K and Himachal Pradesh. Some isolated showers are also likely in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and western UP. The upper air circulation over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh is likely to bring wet weather to these regions.

Chennai – Warm and humid day with no precipitation. A maximum temperature of 34-35 C is likely with a minimum of 27-28 C.
Vellore – A hot day with peaks of 37-38 C likely, followed by a minimum of around 25-26 C.
Madurai – An uncomfortable day ahead as the mercury could soar up to 39 C with a humid night at a minimum of 26-27 C.
Trichy – A baking afternoon at 38 C followed by a minimum of 26-27 C cannot be comfortable.
Coimbatore – Hot days and cool nights likely to continue, with a peak of 36-37 C and a minimum of around 24-25 C.
