Subdued Rainfall Activity likely across Tamil Nadu

As the easterlies remain very weak rainfall across the state will get reduced considerably and many places in Tamil Nadu are likely to see dry weather.

Meanwhile cold wave continues to grip North India with Jammu and Kashmir being the worst hit with below freezing temperature. Intense cold will prevail over Delhi, Rajasthan and adjoining areas for the next few days as cold winds are blowing across the northwestern plains because of the active Western Disturbance.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Partly sunny and cloudy with max of around 30/31C. Night will be pleasant with low around 22C.

Vellore – Mostly clear weather is expected with highs of 30C. Night is expected to be cold as min will settle at 16C.

Trichy – Times of clouds and sun with day high of 30C. Night will be pleasant with low around 20C

Madurai – A warm sunny day with day high of 32C with no major rain chances. Night is expected to be cooler at 20C.

Coimbatore – Warm pleasant conditions during the day with high of 29/30C and a cooler night at 18C.
