Bulk of the Rains seen over South, Central and West TN
The Trough of low at Mean Sea Level over Lakshadweep and the adjoining Maldives continues to persist and extends up to 0.9 km above sea level. Another Trough of Low at sea level persists off the Tamil Nadu coast. Under the influence of both these Troughs, rains will continue across parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Rains is TN will remain more confined to central coastal TN and parts of south TN along with interior districts as well. Chance of an isolated heavy rain persists.
City Forecasts
Chennai will remain cloudy to partly cloudy with a possibility of occasional drizzle to light showers in some pockets of the city and suburbs.
Vellore will remain cloudy with a chance of an isolated shower in some parts.
Coimbatore can expect some isolated rains with a few moderate spells.
Trichy will remain cloudy with a chance of rain in the city.
Madurai can expect some showers with a few moderate to heavy spells.

Delta districts including Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Cuddalore and Ramanathapuram of South Tamil Nadu.

Rest of coastal TN and central and south interior districts.
