Persistent LPA likely to continue wet weather in South TN. Chennai to remain dry with the occasional isolated thunder showers
The low pressure area which was lying over the Comorin Sea is likely to persist with the associated trough extending till adjoining SW-BOB along South & Central TN. Under the influence of this LPA and the associated trough, STN and Delta regions will receive moderate to rather heavy rains during the next 24-48 hrs. Central parts of TN will receive moderate to heavy rains. However under the influence of the strong HPA over Central India, the rainfall intensity around NTN including Chennai ,will reduce drastically and rainfall will be confined to isolated occasional thunder showers during next 24-48 hrs.
