Rain filled week ahead for TN coasts

The cyclonic circulation in the south bay is set to become a marked low and should track west wards towards TN coast. As it traverses further, there is a likely hood of widespread rains across TN and AP coasts in the days to come due to the associated trough. Already parts of south TN have started witnessing showers and the span of the rain would increase and extend further northward as it progresses.

As per most model predictions, Isolated heavy falls are likely to occur over delta/CTN coasts initially and the strong convergence zones would shift over the coastal areas of North TN and South AP as well. Popular models pick up a prolonged wide spread rain window, which if it happens could cause localised flooding in thickly populated and low lying areas. There are also possibilities of extreme precipitation in one of two places during this period. Whether the low really strengthens into anything stronger like a depression etc remains to be seen, most models indicate low /little probabilities at the moment.
