Sporadic showers to continue over South TN

A weak circulation seen over Comorin Sea and adjoining area caused some moderate rains over parts of extreme Southern districts of TN. The said disturbance is on the verge of disappearing and it is not likely to cause any significant rains for next 24hrs. However few sporadic showers might occur over the same regions. Most parts of TN would remain dry for next few days. Models are picking a surge in easterlies after 3 days which could bring some rains for South and South central TN coast.
Coastal & Interior regions will experience near normal temperature with 0.3 to 0.5c positive departure expect North coastal TN which might see 0.5 to 1c above normal temperatures.
TN cities are expected to remain dry with prevailing sunny weather conditions.

Chennai: A cool morning followed by a warm day with few stray clouds hanging around the region .A max of 31 degrees C during the day and a minimum of 21 degrees C is expected to prevail.
Coimbatore: A charming morning giving way to periods of warm sunshine over the area. Max temps should hover around 30 degrees C. A slight dip in the minimum temperature ranging around 20 degrees C.
Madurai: A pleasant morning, a max temperature of 32 degrees and a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius expected over the region.
Trichy: Partly cloudy skies to begin with. A comfortable day with a max of 32 degrees C and a minimum of 21 degrees C
Vellore: A glorious day on the cards with a max of 30 degrees C and a cool and cozy night to hang out on New year’s eve. Minimum should hover around 17 degrees C.
